Job Description:
The Production Scheduler acts as the information hub for all plant activities and supports ongoing plant operations by providing detailed schedules of all production and other events impacting the Process and Packaging operations. The Production Scheduler is part of the Business Support / Plant Planning Department. The Production Scheduler will partner closely with both internal operations teams as well as with Corporate Planning and Supply Chain Leads to effectively translate customer and business needs into feasible plant production plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize data from Planning partners and the ERP system to create weekly production schedules through the end of the time fence.
- Provide efficient plans to prepare for any needed downtime, such as wall-to-wall inventory, maintenance activities, capital projects, etc.
- Review actual production against budgets and inventory goals. Report out on variances and make future adjustment as needed.
- Actively participate in the wall-to-wall inventory process.
- Review and maintain data in SAP related to rates and efficiencies, production orders, etc.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Planning, SCLs, and other stakeholders outside of the plant to both educate cross-functional partners on plant capabilities and operations and ensure the plant stays informed of all business needs, projects, innovation, and upcoming changes.
- Support overall plant operations by flowing to the work as needed.
- Partner with Planning counterparts to ensure forecasted supply plans outside the time fence and through the time horizon are feasible (ex: prebuild plans, smoothing supply spikes to align with capacity, etc.).
- Collaborate with Process and Packaging Departments to have a robust understanding of plant operations, capabilities, and limitations.
- Partner with the Material Coordinator to ensure RPW material availability to support production schedules.
Job Requirements:
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, ERP system, etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong math, organization, and analytical skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous SAP experience preferred.
- Previous manufacturing and/or scheduling experience preferred.
