Job Description:

This is a posting for a Fork Truck Operator. Individuals interested should possess a strong working knowledge of Distribution Operations and forklift driving ability.

Day to day general direction are provided by the Dock Coordinators and the Logistics Specialist.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help support pulling palletizers and relieving FTO’s for breaks/lunches
• Ensures that unsafe conditions get reported and corrected through the Hazardous Notification, BBS processes and write-up work orders for repair
• Effectively plan and prioritize work assignments with minimal supervision
• Performs daily inspections of electric powered forklift using correct documentation
• Understand complex loading practices and maintain weig
• Perform all necessary safety checks related to trailer loading and dock locking systems
• Maintain procedural compliance of forklift security and departmental tools
• Support department needs as an equipment owner for a forklift and/or battery
• Ensures WPO and housekeeping standards are sustained
• Has knowledge of SDS’s and follows proper procedures for handling raw materials
• Proficient with different types of forklift attachments, such as a slip-sheet unit, double-forks and clamp truck
• Properly fill-out documentation associated with unloading and loading practices within the department with minimal supervision
• Understands and adheres to Regulatory compliance with OSHA & DOT standards
• Ability to identify and provide information on quality issues with finished products
• Works with other resources to improve line/equipment performance to goal

• Be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Workdays and schedule may change periodically for training purposes, and according to business needs. Must be able to work off shift and weekends
• Meets overall selection criteria in the areas of performance, leadership, attendance, job skills, and other criteria specifically established for this position. Each qualified applicant will be interviewed for the final selection.

• Ability to perform as a Professional Forklift Operator
